The Fram Museum celebrates its 75 th birthday in 2011In connection with Fridtjof Nansen’s 150th birthday and the 100th anniversary of Roald Amundsen’s attainment of the South Pole in 2011, the Fram Museum will organize a series of projects to commemorate these important events. At the same time the museum is undergoing a comprehensive modernization to offer the visitors new permanent exhibitions and better facilities.
ModernizationThe entrance, the reception desk and the museum store will be brand new. Wider stairs and elevators are being built.
