«Impact of climate change on resources, maritime transport and geopolitics in the Arctic and the Svalbard area»

The Norwegian Scientific Academy for Polar Research invites in cooperation with Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center, Nansen Scientific Society and UNIS to the summer school «Impact of climate change on resources, maritime transport and geopolitics in the Arctic and the Svalbard area».

The summer school takes place during 21. to 28. August at Norwegian Scientific Academy for Polar Research, “Isdammen” and The University Center in Svalbard (UNIS), Longyearbyen.

The Summer School will accept applications from 20 Ph. D. students and Post-docs in the fields of Arctic Climate, Arctic Resources, Maritime Transport and Geopolitics.

Application and CV should be sent to:  within 17 June 2011. Selected candidates will receive reply by the end of June 2011.
